A seasoned executive in healthcare services, Marcus has over twenty years of leadership experience at United Healthcare, AdvancePCS and CIGNA Corporation.

Ms. Marcus brings to Pathology Partners her expertise in defining and executing strategies for large health care services and pharmacy benefit management companies. Most recently, she was Chief Operating Officer of UnitedHealth Europe, where she was helping to build United Health Group's European operations. Before UnitedHealth Europe, Marcus was the Senior Vice President, Product and Pricing Strategy, and Chief Competitive Officer at AdvancePCS. She guided the company's activities in client pricing and analysis, competitive intelligence, strategic initiatives and product development activities. Prior to AdvancePCS, Ms. Marcus was at CIGNA Corporation, where she held leadership positions in strategy, operations, product management, finance and systems.

Ms. Marcus attended Wesleyan University, and received a BA with majors in Mathematics and Spanish; the University of Pennsylvania, Moore School of Engineering, and got her M.S.E., with majors in Computers and Information Sciences; and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where she earned her MBA. Additionally, Gail has been an adjunct professor for Healthcare Strategy at the University of Connecticut Business School.
