Phoenix Laboratory - Current Openings

Caris Diagnostics opened a laboratory in Phoenix, Arizona in April of 2007. We are excited to announce position openings that will be instrumental in making this laboratory a vital part of the Caris Diagnostics team. Accounts Payable Specialist

Summary Description:  The accounts payable specialist will compile and maintain verified accounts payable records, reconciles statements, and issues payment to vendors.

Essential Core Functions:

  • Review invoices for purchased goods, contract services, travel reimbursements and direct payment invoices in accordance with accounting principles, and Company policies and procedures;
  • Ensure that all invoices are properly approved and are properly coded to the general ledger to ensure accuracy of financial data;
  • Perform the data entry of invoices into the accounts payable module;
  • Balance invoice detail to system and general ledger totals and identify and resolve discrepancies;
  • Reviewing, analyze and reconcile vendor statements by requesting follow-up information from vendors, and internal personnel;
  • Provide research and analytical assistance to vendors and internal personnel in regards to outstanding invoices and purchase orders;
  • Create and summarize financial reports and analyses resulting from accounts payable transactions, such as the month-end accrual;
  • Organize, file and maintain paid invoice documentation; and
  • Provide assistance with all other accounts payable and division functions as needed.

Qualifications:  Candidates should have 2-4 years of Accounts Payable or related experience.  Great customer service skills, problem solving skills, and ability to function as part of a team or independently to accomplish assigned tasks are a must.

Analyst/Senior Analyst (Finance)

Summary Description:  Come join a winning financial team as an Analyst/Senior Analyst in a dynamic, growing company.  Caris Diagnostics, Inc is an anatomic pathology laboratory, headquartered in Irving, Texas which focuses on the unique market niche needs of ambulatory surgery centers, small hospitals and physician offices in the United States.  We are growing rapidly and are looking for a motivated and creative individual to join our team.

The Analyst/Senior Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information and results through compliance with Company policies and procedures and GAAP.  The position requires monthly reviews with accounting management, monthly reconciliations and monthly recording of journal entries. The candidate must be a self motivator with high energy, strong leadership potential and also must be creative. They must have the ability to adapt/learn in a changing environment and have the minimum potential to develop into a senior level or staff manager.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure transactions are consistently accounted for in compliance with Company policies and procedures and in accordance with GAAP.
  2. Responsible for the monthly preparation of journal entries and close schedules/tasks within established deadlines.
  3. Preparation of analyses, reconciliation schedules and other reports and investigation and explanation of variances to prior periods and budget/forecast.
  4. Assist in the preparation of complete monthly and annual financial statement packages
  5. Continually improve the current processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and level of support for the business.
  6. Researching and responding to financial inquiries from management
  7. Interacting with parties outside the department including Supervisors, Managers and external contacts
  8. Assist with accounting/financial projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum three (3) years experience, preferably Big 4 and large company
  2. Bachelor degree required, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  3. Proficient technical knowledge of GAAP
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel & management
  5. Excellent organizational skills
  6. Good work ethic and attention to detail
  7. Strong knowledge of Excel and ability to learn new computer systems
  8. Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines

Director of Business Development (Dermatopathology) - Various Territories

Summary Description: Responsible for directing the sales function of Dermatopathology services in assigned territory. Professionally executes a sales plan designed to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of assigned territory. Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of an assigned territory’s Dermatopathology services. Provides and coordinates all aspects of the direct sales and client relations support functions to clients in assigned territory. This position requires overnight travel approximately 60% of the time and occasional weekend travel may be required.

Qualifications: 7-10 years of sales experience (both product and service). Must have a high degree of understanding the client relationship with Physicians, their needs, and how we can provide service and technology solutions for their pathology needs. Incumbent must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our team and service oriented environment is an integral part of our culture and our success. Professional demeanor, business casual dress, and proficient computer skills, which must include Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, are required.

Histotechnologist - Irving, TX / Phoenix, AZ / Newton, MA

Department: Histology Lab

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor of Science, HT/HTL (ASCP) certification

Knowledge: Routine Histology including specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and immunohistochemistry

Experience: H.T. with 1-3 years experience in embedding and sectioning of surgical specimens in a certified Histopathology laboratory

Main Duties: Perform routine Histology functions to include embedding, sectioning and staining

Pathologist Assistant - Irving, TX / Phoenix, AZ

Summary Description: The Pathologist Assistant will be responsible for preparing specimens for pathologist to examine and diagnose.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must thrive in a team and service oriented environment. This individual must maintain a professional demeanor in interactions with physicians and lab personnel.

Essential Core Functions:

  1. Receive a high number of surgical specimens and closely monitor requisitions for diagnosis, relevant questions to be addressed, and special handling of specimens.
  2. Assess specimens with the naked eye with insight into any pathologic processes that may be present. Dictate a gross description for each specimen according to proscribed training and lab manuals. Take appropriate sections for histologic preparation.
  3. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  4. Prepare digital photomicrographs of all specimens. Take digital gross photographs when appropriate.
  5. Promote and work to improve the reputation of Caris Diagnostics and Caris Pathology.
  6. Promote and work to improve relationships with clinicians and the pathology community.

Job Specifications:

Education, Certification/Licensure, and/or Experience:

  1. National Certification through the American Society of Cytopathology and/or Certification through the American Association of Pathology Assistants.
  2. Bachelors degree in biology or related field.

Knowledge, technical skills, and abilities required:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Ability to learn internal software programs.
  3. Knowledge and experience using diagnosis equipment (photomicroscope, Dictaphone, computer).

Technology/Marketing Manager

Summary Description: This position will be responsible for developing relationships with various software vendors and managing software related projects. This position is also responsible for the development of marketing and communications tools for Caris Dx technology based solutions offered to physicians throughout the country as well as marketing the core business of laboratory and pathology services. These tools will encompass the quality, technology, financial, and market benefits to the buyer and their company.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience developing and deploying successful marketing tools and strategies as well as developing and maintaining external relationships. Prior experience in marketing/product management or sales in the healthcare market is a plus. Incumbent must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our team and service oriented environment is an integral part of our culture and our success. Qualified candidates should possess 5 or more years of marketing experience and proficient computer skills which include Microsoft PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word.

Essential Core Functions:

  1. Develop relationships with various software vendors and manage software related projects
  2. Develop a variety of technical and quality marketing collaterals and reports, develop brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses, including software related projects.
  3. Evaluates market trends to help develop and update company goals and objectives. Advises sales team on any relevant product or market concerns. Recommends changes to current product development procedures based on market research and new trends.
  4. Collects, analyzes and synthesizes data collected in the field data to create actionable marketing plans and collaterals.
  5. Prepare marketing strategies and programs for healthcare services.
